Services at St. James
As we are the only Church in Stalmine, we do try to provide a variety of styles of worship for the community. You will always get a friendly welcome at St. James', whatever the service!
Our main service of the week is Parish Communion at 10.30 a.m. every Sunday (except for the second Sunday).
On the second Sunday of the month, the service takes the form of 'Family/Parade' with the uniformed organisations taking part.
There is also a service every Sunday at 09.00 a.m. On the first, third, and fifth Sundays this takes the form of 'Morning Worship', an informal service with praise, songs, readings, and prayer.
On the second Sunday, it is Common Worship Holy Communion and on the fourth Sunday, it is Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion.
A quiet, meditative service of 'Vigils' is held on the third Sunday Evening of the month at 8.00 p.m.
On Thursday mornings there is a service of Holy Communion at 9.30 a.m. in the Church Meeting Room. This is followed by our newly launched Coffee Shop: 10.30 to 11.30.
